Parallel Frontlines: Journalistic Documentation from the Russia’s War of Aggression Against Ukraine and the Philippine Drug War

This session examined examine how on the ground reporting has exposed abuses, identified perpetrators, and preserved survivor testimonies. While centered on issues affecting Filipino journalists, it also drew comparative insights from Ukraine’s documentation efforts. The discussion highlighted how journalistic documentation contributes to accountability at both the local and international levels and how public records, media reporting, and independent investigations inform international responses to human rights violation.
